Narberth

Narberth is one of many neighborhoods located on the historic Main Line. Narberth is unique as it is fairly enclosed with no major road that runs through the town except Montgomery Avenue. With its small size, many of its shopping and recreational facilities are within walking distance of residents’ houses. It is mostly a residential community with a central business district along Haverford, Narberth, Forrest, and Essex Avenues. Narberth’s business district has a variety of small, independent businesses however, in recent years many new businesses of opened. Many belong to the Narberth Business Association which promotes the town as a shopping destination as well as hosting occasion events such as, the Spring Sidewalk Sale and the Narberth Dickens Festival. With two recreational facilities, recently renovated, the borough sponsors a fall soccer program, spring baseball program, summer basketball program and many other sports and recreation activities. Narberth is about twenty-five minutes from the city of Philadelphia allowing commuters to easily enjoy other restaurants, shopping experiences and events the city has to offer.
